Athletic Fields

Whether building or renovating an existing field WMS has the expertise and the capability to provide you with a high quality athletic field. To the left is a picture that shows the beginning steps to build a softball field, using our laser controlled dozer for the cutting and shaping of the field. The use of this type of equipment gives the field an even and accurate grading. At the bottom of this page, you will see the continued progression of the building of a softball field.

To the right you will see a picture that shows our Mastenbroek and flotation truck installing 2 inch tile on 5 foot centers then backfilling with USGA sand.  For improved playability, fewer rain delays or cancellations, installation of a high quality drainage system is the way to go.  This system will remove excess water efficiently and is crucial in building and maintaining a high quality field.

When WMS is finished with this field, it will have drainage at 5 foot centers, sodded, and 5 inch infield mix with 2 inch red clay mixed on top.  WMS strives to make sure the completed project has the best drainage system and your complete satisfaction.
